Living Through Loss ~

Help for Those
Who Are Grieving

Grief touches every family some time.   Often suddenly and without warning, families are thrust into confusion and crisis.   What happens to the families who have suffered loss and tragedy--whether this year or last, five or ten or twenty years ago?   Many are living with the deep pain of loss, anger, and unresolved grief.   Some marriages may dissolve into emptiness.   Families may be broken apart, and often their members are merely existing in a life without joy.
When everything seems hopeless, those who are grieving need to hear that others have made it through the valley of the shadow of death. They need to know that God is near, and that He is a God of comfort and love. The church is the perfect place to hear this message.   Even through tragedy God can bring hope, help to heal, and give individuals and families new dreams and renewed joy!

Support groups provide a safe place, a supportive environment in which people can come together to share concerns related to their loss and grief. Support groups also provide education and information about the grief process and help facilitate healthy ways of coping with loss and grief.
